The Spy who came in from the mall

Spy gadgets are cool and a great use for the latest minature technology. We report on all the latest spy stuff that we can find, including spy cameras, lock picks and other cool spy equipment.

As well the surveillance side of spy equipment we also find our fair share of of fun spy toys, we are big kids after all.

It is the stuff of childhood fantasies, when we played games like cowboys and crooks and spies and villains. And a little air guitar, of course.

The Bond-type gadgets we tend to covet the most, like spy-cameras and spy-camera detectors, are suddenly available in shops, in malls and even online. Cigarette lighters? Pens? Flash drives? Watches? Wall plug adaptors, for goodness sake? Yes, it looks like a diver's watch, with half a dozen buttons and information overload on the dial. Etienne asks. Etienne points at the corner of one of the triangles. There's a kink in the pattern.

"Camera. The pen is a sound recording and transmitting device.

The Bic-type lighter is a sound recorder. So is the flash drive ¨C with the added advantage that it really is a flash drive, so it automatically stores whatever it records.

Devices like camera-locators that detect spying devices in a room, handheld bug locators, shred-proof jackets and bullet proof business suits, emphasise the personal protection nature of your modern over-the-counter spy supplies.

Nokia Sea Ray Leaked

The new Nokia Windows Phone 7 handset, known as the Sea Ray for now, bears a striking resemblance to the Nokia N9. Elop explained and pointed out at the hardware camera button at the right hand side of the device, which is not present on the N9, before finally switching on the device. The latter part of the video shows the features and functions of Windows Phone Mango on the Sea Ray.

Other specs could include a 1 GHz processor (a 1 GHz processor is a must for all WP7 devices) and 512 MB RAM. Nokia could have a couple of more WP7 handsets lined up, but for now it seems like this is going to be the first ever Nokia WP7 handset

Nokia had announced a few days back that alike Apple's product secrecy methods even Nokia will not disclose the features of WP7 devices. However, Mr. Stephen Elop, CEO, Nokia, had formally revealed the features of the device at an event.

Elop talks about the 8-megapixel camera which has Carl Zeiss lens. This video has been leaked by Hungarian site Technet. hu.

For the last few years we have been disappointed with Nokia’s smartphone offerings, however with the recently unveiled Nokia N9 and another handset codenamed ‘Sea Ray’ we are starting to see potential in Nokia’s future devices, but now we are hearing of another smartphone which doesn’t sound too exciting, this is the Nokia N5.

What we don’t understand is why Nokia is releasing another Symbian handset, previously we heard how Nokia would be concentrating on MeeGo and WP7-based smartphones, therefore we think it would have been nice for Nokia to show us how well MeeGo runs on a handset with mediocre specifications and features, therefore to us the N5 has to have a very low price tag if it is going to succeed.

Would you prefer Nokia’s mid-low-end smartphones to run MeeGo?
